Review on 🏌️ OptiShot 2 Home Golf Simulator Kit, Golf in a Box Series by Moises Dzihic

Revainrating 5 out of 5

After 4 years I love this golf simulator!

Here's an overview of the Optishot 2 golf simulator and, more importantly, a few tips that first-time users won't realize if they can't find this information on the forums. Firstly, I really like this golf simulator. I've been using it for 4 years now and play at least 18 holes every day. For the first few years, my uncle, who is a pretty good golfer, kept asking me if this simulator would translate to real golf. After playing on Optishot for 2 years we had Topgolf open where I live and in just a couple of weeks I was ranked number one in 6 out of 9 games and within another month I reached number 1 in the world in Topgolf Advanced Druck with a score of 2250! (I held this spot for 2 months, still so great!) I train hard and smart, but yes the Optishot 2 had a lot to do with me getting that score. Here are some basics and then tips. For $300 you get about a dozen courses. For an additional $49 per year you get additional courses and the opportunity to enter 2 tournaments per month. After 1st year I joined the Pro Tour which gives you a few more courses and 3 to 4 tournaments a month. Last year Optishot gave us the option to pay $200 for a lifetime subscription to the Pro Tour with no additional annual fees, starting immediately. I counted 62 courses and these are some of the best courses not only in the US but in several countries around the world including Scotland, South Africa, Thailand and Taiwan. We also have tournaments called Closest To The Pin about once a month where you get 9 tries. The peer-to-peer network allows you to customize the game or play with other people from all over the world. When setting up the game you select 6 different wind speeds and directions, 5 different green speeds, fairway, rough and bunker difficulties ranging from easy, medium, challenging to very challenging. Other features include the ability to allow replays or no replays, flexible shooting at any distance, multiple camera angles, tracer shot technology, replay shots, game saving, etc. Practice mode lets you choose any field, hole, and placement of the ball for that hole and the practice area. Here are some important tips. Before you begin, you need to calibrate your clubs. You will be asked to hit 5 square sticks, then 5 closed and 5 open. The trick is to use a STRIKE instead of a full hit, which can be inconsistent. Then go to Edit Clubset in the bottom right menu and you define the speed adjustment and distance adjustment according to the desired distance for each club. Most of my racquets give 110% speed and range. I've seen reviews criticizing the putting. I totally disagree. Real golfers know that putting is a combination of club speed, slope, green speed, whether you're hitting up or down the hill and how strong it is. I think some people try to hit the pad at an angle to compensate for tilt. It's best to use the arrows on your keyboard to determine where you're aiming, taking into account the green's speed setting (fast greens break more often than slow ones), how many inches up or down the slope, and the severity of the green break. Then hit the square directly with the stick. In real golf you want to be able to hit your club at the target at the right speed considering all the variables and this thing is extremely sensitive and consistent. If you want to compete in our high level tournaments, you need to turn off the lights and make birds. As David Duvall says, you have to be able to repeat in golf. Optishot 2 rewards you when you do something right. The Optishot 2 doesn't measure ball spin or launch angle, but reviews saying it doesn't measure fat shots are just plain wrong. When you hit the fat, not only will you see a loss of distance, but normally your club is open, just like in real golf. By the way, I don't hit the ball because I play by aiming at the TV and I like it when my 63-year-old joints don't wear out. simulator in my house. It would be nice but for the price I love this item just as much as I did when I first got it. You can find me in tournaments like MarkMac. Much luck!
