The first pump didn't work. The exchange didn't really work.
I use these pumps with skimmer in my aquarium. I bought a new one last year, it only lasted a year before it stopped. I have ordered a new one. When it arrived the engine was running but it wasn't pumping water. I asked Amazon for a new one which arrived the next day. I plugged it in and on the highest setting it pumped about 5 gallons an hour. The top speed is believed to be 185 gallons per hour. The first I had lasted about 3 years. The quality seems to be dropping at Hydor. I will not buy another pump from Hydor.
