I tried to put my pregnant swordfish in but she stayed stressed and I had to take her outside. The lid falls off and the two holes in the lid were big enough for other fish to get in and out of, although never found a hole to swim out. Maybe it works for guppies or something very small. I will get another aquarium to separate the fish. I wouldn't recommend spending money on it. It's hard for a fish in such a small space. I'll get a 30 or 40 gallon. refuel or put a divider in my 100 gallons. All fish except guppies or small fish are stressed. My pregnant swordtail actually lost weight while she was there and as soon as I put her back in my main tank she gained weight again. Even 10 gallons would be better than that. That's just my opinion, you like it. Please don't put anything other than very small fish, and even with that, you can only put one guppy.
