Review on πŸ”Œ BLACK+DECKER Grinder 6.5 Amp BDEG400 by Rovy Oppeneer

Best deal for homeowners

This coffee grinder really surprised me. It's well made, easy to use, reasonably priced, and comes with a one-year warranty. To be clear this coffee grinder is not intended for commercial use, I doubt it can handle that type of workload. But for a homeowner or the occasional person working on a project, this is the way to go. When it comes to what type of disc to use for grinding, I would go with the dimpled (raised center) Type 27 discs, which are recommended for their thickness. This type of disc needs to move in the center of the disc case due to its thickness. However, for slicing you can use flat discs that are thinner as long as they are the correct diameter with a 7/8 inch center hole. Thinner means they are centered in the screen guard, but this does not affect their use. All you have to do is flip the collet so that the shoulder is up and the collet is lying flat on the disc. Here's what you'll learn The collet is misadjusted because you can't tighten it enough to secure the disc. Concave discs have the collet shoulder to disc; flat discs have the collet shoulder away from the disc.

Pros
  • 3-position side handle for extra comfort and control
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
