Well built, easy to install (if using an existing mounting box), and decently bright

If you like the looks of the product photos, I think that you'll be pleased with these in person. They look just like the photos, and they are very well made with good quality plastic, metal, and glass pieces.I replaced an existing wall sconce that had gotten rusty over the past 20+ years. Everyone in the neighborhood has the same ones, so I just left mine for years. I'm so glad that I swapped it out now that it's done. I thought it might be a pain to replace, but it was actually quite easy. I don't know if they are universal, but the mounting box for my existing sconce (installed in the 90's) fit the mounting bracket for these just great. You just have two electrical wires and a ground wire to install, and they provide three wire nuts for those.Mine did give a noticeable "melting solder" smell at first, but that went away. I figure that the first time that it was ever powered up was when I did it.I think that it's decently bright. I don't like super bright lights where I put it, though, and tended to put in lower wattage bulbs. It's on the side of my garage near my gate, and I can easily see the gate and lock (to open it), as well as beyond. If I were to do it over again, I'd go with a lower temperature compared to 5000K in regards to color, as these are indeed white. I knew what they were going in, though, so no points off for that.

Pros
  • This LED bulkhead light is dimmable, giving you the flexibility to adjust the lighting according to your needs and preferences
Cons
  • It attracts insects to the area
