I've only used this with the RF Explorer 3G combo so remember everything I say is in reference to that. All in all a very good antenna and significantly cheaper than some others on the Revain. Pros: - Although not fully unidirectional, ratios such as front/back and front/side are definitely good enough to determine source direction, - Front-end gain is on par with traditional RF Explorer antennas. The side and back are almost as good, so I don't have to switch antennas to get omnidirectional readings. On paper, this antenna is only rated up to 900 MHz. However, it picks up all frequencies up to 15 MHz very well. This is the lower limit of the RF Explorer, so this antenna could be even lower. At these lower frequencies, its front end has comparable gain to both RF Explorer antennas. The side and rear reinforcements can still be used - The solder joints are well made and strong, the finish is solid - Has mounting holes on the edges - Comes with well documented specifications. Cons (sort of): - It's a bit big, but I suspect any antenna of this type will do.
