After reading all the reviews, I expected this fan to be noisy. I'm using it as an extra fan for my Norcold RV fridge (an external fan on top of the insufficient fan provided by Norcold) so it runs on 12V DC. It's surprisingly quiet and really lets a lot of air out. very impressive! The Norcold fridge is unable to maintain temperatures below 40 degrees when the ambient temperature is above 90, mainly due to the lack of airflow in the cramped space behind the fridge. This fan/fan really helps the fridge keep the temperature cooler. I highly recommend.
