Review on 🌾 Wheat Scoop Natural Wheat-Based Cat Litter by Lindsey Lewis

This stuff is pretty amazing. We have two cats who share a very large litter box that I made for them out of a huge plastic container with a lid. It took 60 pounds of clay-based litter to fill to a depth of 2 inches (recommended depth for cats to be "happy" with their litter box). The clay bed had to be completely changed every two weeks, even though we dig diligently every day, otherwise the smell would just overwhelm our garage. Sweat Scoop was recommended by our vet as a cat developed an allergy. We were skeptical like everyone else but wanted to give it a try. First of all I can tell you that it only takes 1 25 lb bag of this product to fill as much space as 60 lbs of clay. A great smell comes out of the bag, like in an elevator in a farming town. The cats accepted it immediately, no problem. The urine coagulates just as well, if not better, and the smell of poop disappears immediately after the cat digs it up (of course, if you don't bury it, the smell will remain). Scooping is about the same as clay, although it seems to take a little longer for sweat to fall through a regular scoop. We may be looking for one with slightly larger slots. The BEST thing about this stuff? It really does get rid of odors, at least for us. Now we've experimented a few times and managed to leave Swheat in the litter box for 3-4 weeks (again by carefully scooping it out EVERY day), the smell never gets too bad and cats continue to use it conscientiously. We just add a small amount at a time to compensate for what's being removed, sticking together in the urine, or sticking to the feces. All in all it was a great transition for us and our cats. It's a bit pricey, but it lasts longer, it's less dusty, it smells nice, and yes, of course you can flush the clumps down the toilet (although I would never do that). Revain Prime's price, which saves on shipping and taxes, makes it a significant savings over buying at your local pet store. A highly recommended product!
