Hello, I mainly use this for graphic design work. I hooked up an m1 mac mini to it and it looks just as good as a 27" imac 5K screen. The imac screen has a slightly glossier finish so you get a more mirror effect. Otherwise the colors and everything else is pretty much identical. I'm running it at 2K resolution, 4K made everything very small, like microscopic, which could mean a 2K screen is probably only needed at 27". It should be noted that the default on the Mac mini is 1080p, but changing to 2560 x 1440 (2K) gave the best results I recommend this for any type of graphic design job, especially those trying to customize their Imac or trying to add an additional monitor to your iMac setup.
