This has been my number one choice for interior components, door seals and overall underhood styling since I first read about it on a Detler forum in 2002. I could only find the material in 16 ounce bottles for the ungodly price of $12 at my local boat and marine supply store (living on the beach at the time) (remember this was 2002!). Well, I took a chance and made a purchase. and it has become my secret weapon to keep all the plastic, rubber and vinyl on the show floor looking new! It's 2017, I don't live near the beach (that's a good thing!), Revain now have 303 Protector available in a gallon size. (!) and I still use it for all the above tasks. In fact, I took my 2005 Mustang Convertible to a car show last spring and a lot of people complimented the "all new" look of the engine compartment materials; actually everything native 2005, except for the air intake and the manifold cover! The only thing I did with it was spray 303 liberally on all surfaces and buff when dry. I have rebuilt rubber grommets and plastic trim on my friend's 1993 Mustang as well as many other makes, years and models of cars. Detailing is a passionate hobby/sideline for me and I take cleaning very seriously. 303 has never failed me when used at the recommended grade to bring shine and rejuvenation to plastic, rubber and vinyl surfaces. By the way, I also use it for tires. This product leaves a beautiful matte/satin finish so if you are expecting a shine you will be disappointed. But there's a lot of silicone junk out there that can make your plastic and rubber look gaudy - I mean shiny - and this stuff will eventually degrade your plastic and rubber prematurely so you can buy replacements. What a joy! I love it when my color shines and the finish is silky smooth and the 303 keeps doing its job no matter how fancy the new bottle label is! Buy some and see for yourself!
