Review on 🏎️ K&N Cold Air Intake Kit: High Performance for 2004-2012 VOLVO (C30, S40 II, V50, S40) 69-9000TS - Guaranteed Horsepower Boost by Justin Boisvert

Firstly Revain says it doesn't fit my 2007 Volvo S40 T5 but it is the right K&N intake manifold for my car and some other Volvo with T5 . I would recommend checking the K&N website before ordering. Second, I'm sorry I didn't know the installation is so complicated and complicated! I'm certainly not new to DIY projects, but this one turned out to be a lot harder than I imagined. I might not have bought this set if I had known about it beforehand. The guide isn't the best and requires switching between the circuit and each step. Some of the photos don't show the steps very accurately. The original air box was almost impossible to remove and required some force to remove. I was very afraid that something might be damaged in the process. Despite the lack of instructions, my new air intake was installed after about 1.5 hours. The product installed was stronger than I thought it would be. The Volvo computer module was very difficult to plug back in due to its repositioning. It now hangs on the side of the K&N heat shield and may be more susceptible to vibration and damage. I like how my T5 sounds now. The turbo whistle is more pronounced, which I like. You can definitely hear the engine more, but it's not overwhelming. I don't have an opinion on the performance gain yet. I have found that without the stock air filter housing it is much easier to access the oil filter compartment. TO UPDATE. I've had my air filter installed for a few months now so wanted to leave an update on my original review. I definitely noticed an increase in fuel consumption, especially on the highway. I can easily get 30mpg on the freeway, which I haven't had before. In the end I am happy with my purchase. I have raised my rating from 3 to 4 stars. If it were easier to install, it could easily become a five star product.
