Review on 🚀 MaxxHaul 80778 Magnetic Towing Light Kit: Dual-Sided RV, Boat & Trailer Lights (DOT Approved) by Brandon Wong

Don't rely on magnets, lenses will fall off - still a cheap alternative when decorating

It's not a badly designed product for what you get for the price. If you have a solid steel frame to attach it to and don't ride long or bumpy trails then this would be ideal. But I have aluminum fender pads that I had to bolt onto metal plates that provide enough ballast or a magnetic base for the lights. They flew away at less than 20 miles per hour after the initial impact! Also, the lens kept going back which was good because I had to switch yellow to red because either my wiring was wrong or vice versa. Easy Fix I just used clear postal tape to make sure they stay. Finally, I removed the magnets (which make great gripping tools) and screwed the hull to a board, which I tied to the boat. It's still cheaper and more reliable than having something on your trailer to sink. The ones that go underwater when reversing are supposed to be waterproof but fail after a while and are a lot cheaper. The cables are good and long. So it's an inexpensive setup, but you'll need to create a mod if you want to rely on the system. I can't say this is a cheap product. However, the lights stick out like candy targets and can easily break with this bolt if modified (but they can also break if dropped from a trailer at 80km/h, which is very likely). I use a board I attached to the headlights to pull the bolts off so it's not that cumbersome and I can use it on any other trailer so I don't have to worry about the biggest problem with my trailers - the lights. ...particularly nightmarish area!
