Review on πŸ₯„ Set of 6 Stainless Steel Table Spoons - Hiware Thick Heavy-weight Soup Spoons by Jairo Cunha

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Updated Rating: Rust and Reactive!

My previous review can be found below but I've updated it with the following information: After just a few uses the spoons started to rust. The spoons have been used for cereal with no problems, but just yesterday we used them with a soup with a little lime juice and immediately noticed a strong metallic taste in every bite. The citrus reacted to the metal spoon which leads me to believe these spoons are NOT stainless steel. Despite the problem we had, we stopped using them and threw them in the laundry. This morning they were rusty around the edges. I suggest you look elsewhere for soup spoons. You are terrible. Previous review: These spoons are perfect for soups and porridge! They're deep enough to hold all that yummy without spilling it before it hits your mouth. I first bought these for my 1.5 year old daughter who loves to eat soup but she spilled it all over before the spoon reached her mouth. These deeper spoons allow some of the soup to remain in the spoon while she continues to work on her technique. I originally wanted to use classic restaurant-style plastic brewing spoons, but I like that they look smoother and match my other utensils. They don't look/feel cheap. I'm happy!

Pros
  • NECESSARY AND MULTIFUNCTIONAL: The wide head of the spoon is specially designed for pouring out soup or ravioli, won tans and other large soup plates without the need for constant scooping. Of course, it is also suitable for sauces, cereals, stews, chicken/udon noodles, shrimp ramen and more.
Cons
  • Slightly dented
