A few years ago I found out I was allergic to petroleum products, so lipsticks no longer exist for me. Thanks for Burt's Bees lip balm! This is one of the few things that help my lips survive the winter. Instead of oil, beeswax is used, as well as other fats - coconut oil, olive oil, sunflower seed oil, avocado oil, shea butter and many others. Some oils, like orange and vanilla, are meant to be perfumed. It goes on smoothly with a silky feel. I find I have to reapply it a little more often than an oil product because it absorbs better, but given the natural ingredients, I feel a lot better when this product is on my lips. - Debbie Lee Wesselman
