great radios that you can program to your liking. if you can figure out how to program them

These are amazingly affordable programmable radios. I need them for my work crew at the sawmill. We have been using Midland radios for many years and have to replace them about 2 times a month for various reasons. On an almost interference-free channel, they are much clearer and easier to find. The size is almost perfect, but the antenna is a bit bulky and soft (you can buy smaller finned antennas in the aftermarket). It comes with 1 programming cable and 1 small disc which took forever to find as nothing said it would be found in 1 20 individually boxed radios. We didn't intend to use all 20 at the same time because we need backups in case we inevitably run over one of our forklifts. After finding the programming accessory, I had to figure out how to use it because there are no instructions for it. I think I'm very tech savvy and had to trawl YouTube to learn how to program them. There is a help option in the software which I could not get to work at all. Originally we were going to just leave the radios in default mode but ran into a couple of issues, the channel knob turns very easily and the way we use the radio we accidentally switched to a different channel and not here, the voice tells us we did it. We only had to use 1 channel, so I programmed all 16 channels the same way. It's not as easy as we'd like because the program doesn't change the frequency by 1 station by default. He wants the channels to be evenly spaced, so I had to adjust each channel individually. Also: the flashlight is 100% useless, the default voice is very annoying, 2 out of 20 walkie-talkies were not programmed at all (turned on but nothing happens until I programmed them), I wish there was a chirp or something after that Call ended, wish there was a ringer function, wish the radio chargers were a little better designed because sometimes the charging light doesn't come on and the radios won't stay in the base when you try to put them in the car. All in all, these are great radios for very little money with a few flaws that can mostly be overlooked due to the clarity and range.
