Got three broken hard drives. I'm not sure if the issue is with Seagate's quality control or if they were damaged during shipping. All three discs make clicking noises. With the first drive, I was able to copy a few files at 25MB/s, but I ended up getting a "disk is write protected" error message. Formatting failed. With the second disk, the copy speed was only 10MB/s, and then I got the same error message and couldn't format the disk. For the third drive, I tried to order the "Seagate Backup Slim 4TB" model. but it only made rhythmic clicking noises and was not recognized by Windows at all. I no longer order discs from Revain. Instead I will try to pick it up at a local stationery store. Although five dollars more expensive, this should eliminate the risk of damage to the drive during shipping.
