Review on Logitech G G603 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse, Black by Jnis Brveris ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is really good, I'm glad I purchased it.

The mouse was bought only today, so I am sharing my first impressions and problems, there will be something to add to the review - I will add it during operation. The score was lowered immediately due to buggy software that no longer runs. Before that, I worked with a Microsoft IntelliMouse, which I had for about 16 years and even built an autoclicker into it. Let's see how this one will show itself, but I am completely satisfied with its convenience, size, button position, clicks, size and tactile sensations from the rotation of the wheel, even more than I expected before buying. The weight of the mouse without batteries is 71 grams, with two batteries - 136 grams. For those who are critical of weight, if desired, you can find or make your own adapter for smaller batteries and reduce weight. Well, if you really drive on this topic, then you can disassemble the mouse and drill holes in the frame, as well as from the bottom side, I think you can win 10-20 grams. Well, I immediately ran into a problem that I read a lot about before buying - the "G Hub" does not work, this is not critical for this mouse, but I definitely won’t buy Logitech G935 headphones, because. everything works through it, judging by the descriptions and reviews. I chose between Logitech G935 and HyperX Cloud MIX, now the choice is made and not in favor of Logitech, thanks for that to their buggy software.

Pros
  • - Wireless. After buying a laptop and moving to it from a computer, I get rid of devices with wires, without them it is much more convenient. - Large, comfortable mouse, sits well in the hand. It may be too big for people with a smaller palm, but it's just right for me. - Comfortable, large side buttons. - There is no rubber coating, for me this is a plus, because. rubber ages over time and begins to peel off with pellets, and plastic is only polished and that's it. - Pleasant to the ear clicks, both the main buttons and the side ones. - It glides well on a fabric mat, no friction is felt, only a smooth glide. - You can change the cursor speed with the DPI switch button by choosing from four preset values. - Runs on one or two AA batteries. For me, this is a plus, because. I do not like built-in batteries and their charging wires. It is easier for me to change and charge the battery-battery.
Cons
  • - The branded utility "G Hub" after installation started only once, after rebooting at startup it goes into an endless download, so somehow you can't configure the mouse. This problem, judging by the reviews and discussions on the Internet, has been known for a very long time and is quite common, but the developers do not fix it in any way. - For some reason, the DPI switching button does not always work for me, at first I set the value I needed, then I worked at the computer, after the button stopped responding to pressing. If you remove the batteries and put them back in, the button starts working again. - Not suitable for lefties.
