Review on CTA Tools 1065 Crank Socket by Eddie Rivas

I call it "The Nutcracker "

SPECIAL NOTE: This head *does* not *fit* Honda's custom crankshaft pulley bracket at all, it's too thick! You have been warned that you can use one or the other, but NOT both at the same time. Apart from that, I didn't actually need a crankshaft tool, it was enough! I've seen horrible YouTube videos of people failing to break a crankshaft pulley/harmonic balance nut using impact tools, sometimes even this tool. I had the most positive experience as it helped me. I pounded the pulley nut intermittently in the morning with new WD-40 penetrating oil and then used my 18 volt ryobi percussion gun with this wrench and it worked in 30 seconds of pounding on the first try. I've never had to break out a 30" grip, that was enough. Disclaimer: The engine is a rebuilt Honda B20 series with less than a year of desert service so the flywheel nut hasn't really had time to rust; If you're looking into timing belts for the first time in a decade, you may need either a much more powerful air gun or a 36-inch breaker with an extension on the outlet. I was ready to use this tool with this setup because the breaker bar would bend before this bushing even thought of failing!
