I have a heavy old 11 inch Dell tablet that I keep on a small side table next to my IMDB emergency chair. It's hard to find a stand that's compact enough to fit on a desk but sturdy enough to keep this beast from tipping over. This stand serves this purpose better than others I've tried as it's wide enough and has just enough ridge to grip the bottom edge of the tablet. Rubber pads on the underside ensure a good non-slip grip on the table surface. It's unbalanced if I'm not careful, but overall it serves its purpose and is a very solid and compact unit.
