I used it for two weeks over the summer in a rented 2016 Toyota Sienna minivan that I drove from Salt Lake City to Yellowstone National Park, Grand Tetons and Arches National Park. We experienced temperatures from the mid 40s to over 100 degrees. This device held up to the windshield every two weeks, under the scorching sun and cool rainy days with no problem. The center support pad is great. This minimized the vibrations of the phone we were navigating with. I have also used this in a large Honda Odyssey Van, Honda Accord, Subaru Impeza and Chevy Express. The long arm is ideal for the huge dashboards in minivans and large vans. The Subaru has a shorter dash which meant the phone was a bit closer to the driver, but still fine. Transferring to another vehicle requires a slight bend in the arm to do it properly. As another reviewer mentioned, the clips can hit the buttons on the side of the phone. Make sure the phone is positioned so the clips don't press on the side buttons. The clip holds the phone in place; We've never had a problem with the phone falling out of the clip, whether horizontally or vertically. The clip offers more flexibility to accept different size phones, I've used it with iPhone 5s, SE, 6s, no problem. Even better, since it's a claw clip, you can quickly and easily swap another phone into the mount. It takes two hands to put the phone in the clip. It's not something you want to try while driving. As an upgrade, this unit was installed for several months and survived the frigid cold weather that plagued the Northeast for several days in January. Again, no problems sticking to the windshield at low or high temperatures.
