Review on Oumers Bike Link Plier - 2 in 1 Chain Plier for Missing Link, Opener, Closer, and Remover - Compatible with All Speed Chains - Bicycle Chain Repair Tool by Ulysses Fincher

Opens every link but most likely just closes KMC

Received it late which seems to be becoming a trend lately. However, here are my thoughts: 1. As many have said, this tool is actually poorly designed. As you will see in my second photo, the tool is open to its maximum position but barely touching one side of my KMC chain that I use on my track bike. It can hardly shut down KMC. However, I can confirm what others say that it will be very difficult to close a Shimano, SRAM or Campagnolo chain with a missing link. This is because the last three chains require slightly more mechanical advantage. That being said, I've never closed a missing link with a link tool in my entire life. I only use the missing link tools to open links. It's important for anyone with any cycling experience to know that all you have to do is attach the plates, hold them with two fingers, and then press down on the drive-side pedal. The reviews say they had to make an extra trip to the bike shop for this reason, either they don't know what they're doing or they just wanted to voice their opinion because the listing says it's a two-way tool. With all that said, you can easily take the two pieces apart and use a dremel to cut or cut a notch, giving more than enough clearance. Of course, because the list is inaccurate. That being said, that's half the cost of Park Tools' missing link tool. Also, you only need this tool to open links. You will NEVER need any tool to close them. Just do what I said above to block missing links. In other words, despite my 3-star rating, I recommend this because it does what it's supposed to do, although the list is inaccurate. Hooray!
