I wanted my dogs to run around the garden at night and didn't like other collars on the market - too thick, bothered the dog, difficult to change batteries etc. Dogs shine through this Not being as disturbed by light in this collar as some other lighted collars or keychains I've tried in the past. I think it's because the light is diffused all over the fiberglass type collar as opposed to the intense patch of light they might see. I have tailored the collar to a size where it is easy to put on and take off (with a slight adjustment to the ears when taking it off). I am very happy with this purchase. I would definitely buy this collar again. UPDATE: It's been about a year and the collars are still in place. I only use it when I let my dogs out at night, but I've only had to charge it a couple of times in the last year. I bought a few more to give to my canine friends. Definitely worth the price. Excellent purchase.
