Bought these when I read someone wrote about replacing the ones that came with the lawn mower and have had good results. It's still not like you're sitting on your mom's lap, but the ride is a lot smoother. I can mow without using the (bulky and hot) back brace I had to wear for 6 months after my L3-L4-L5 fusion. It was 2 years ago. The original OEM seat springs of the Husquvarna ZTR 246 have approx. 1" free travel and an overall length of approx. 2.5". The replacement spring is approximately 1 inch longer with fewer coils and a smaller diameter. This allows them to do more without going to their limits like OEMs. It hurts. Highly recommended if your Hynie no longer has the cushioning it once had or if it no longer enjoys the "feel of the road".
