Worst tool I have ever seen. If you expect a quality tool that will help you break the chain link and put it back together consistently, you don't need this tool. I was very lucky that one day I was able to reconnect. I have seen elsewhere that it is absolutely necessary not to hesitate when working on a link. This instrument was very poorly made. The shaking was terrible. I was very careful and was able to line up the tool with the link and sat in fear it would bend or break with every twist and I would have to wait another week to find a better tool. Possibly due to poor alignment. , it took considerable force, more than what could be applied by a cheap plastic T-handle, to break it. Now this pen consists of 4 parts. I replaced it with a vise. Putting the connection together was just as difficult as taking it apart. A piece of advice for those with either of these theses: the handle used to hold the tool slips off, exposing a metal rod that fits in the second vise and is much better than the handle that came with the tool. I am discussing returning the pieces to Revane.
