I welded the muffler to a separate pipe and used the clamp that came with the original muffler to install the muffler. I also made a bracket out of aluminum but in time I may replace it with stainless steel. Especially on my bike it sounds very good at low revs, but on the highway at high revs (7k+) it sounds very much like the engines of a small airplane flying overhead. Very high-pitched tone and metallic/tinny sound. It's louder, almost as loud as without the exhaust. The black color rubs off easily. I understand that my bike specifically determines the overall pitch of the muffler and would likely sound different on a different bike.
