Review on π Baldwin PF7698 Heavy-Duty Diesel Fuel Filter for Enhanced Performance by Tom Goodlow
These filters are usually good, but not this time.
The filter seems to work well but it took a lot of effort to seal it properly. The Gaslite at the top was tough. When I first installed it, at least removed it like crazy, reinstalled it, the result is the same. I ended up taking it off and soaking the gasket in diesel for about half an hour then putting it back on and reinstalling it and it finally worked. As a rule, Baldwin filters have never had any problems. It appears to be legal but has probably been sitting on the shelf for years.
