This is the easiest fuel filter to install. I have owned my truck for 15 years and have changed the filter many times. While this has never been a difficult process, this setup is by far the best. Next to the Baldwin filter of outstanding quality

The filter is supposed to fit the 99 7.3L Powerstroke exactly, but the threads must have been formed incorrectly as they were VERY difficult to tighten and even harder to remove. It took two people to remove it using a 1/2" ratchet, hammer and chisel. Difficult replacement.

I love Baldwin filters. I've been selling them at a small auto parts store for a while and have always found them to be worth every penny. On my power run the OE plastic cap leaked and it was nice to have a new cap with this filter element. Works great. Highly recommended

Made in Kearny, Nebraska. I love both Kearny and Nebraska. You'll love wherever you stop on this long I-80 crossing. I buy the American first. This one works great with my rebuilt 7.3 Powerstroke propane. 270,000 and it uses no oil and has no breakthrough. I usually work with the locals to keep the regular corner shops going.

The filter seems to work well but it took a lot of effort to seal it properly. The Gaslite at the top was tough. When I first installed it, at least removed it like crazy, reinstalled it, the result is the same. I ended up taking it off and soaking the gasket in diesel for about half an hour then putting it back on and reinstalling it and it finally worked. As a rule, Baldwin filters have never had any problems. It appears to be legal but has probably been sitting on the shelf for years.

Nov 2018 Update: Bought another one as part of annual maintenance. The first Baldwin came out beautifully. No breaks or tears. Removed rust on my body a little easily, but thanks to this filter it didn't get into the nozzles. Make sure any o-rings that go into the new filter come out with the old one. Very disappointing! The filter has something black on the bottom. Fat or something sticky? It also smells faintly of diesel. I was expecting a new filter. I understand that companies make profits. We all return items. 1 you must indicate that it is a used item. 2 If you want to sell a returned item, you must inspect and clean it before reselling. I bought it based on all the good reviews.
