When I first saw them I thought they weren't made for running. Since this is my first time using them, it was on a bit of a hike. They fit very comfortably and they don't tear or anything as they look made to me. The second time I got them running, the only problem I had was that I could feel almost every rock I stepped on. Eventually, needles from plants pierced the sole of the boot. Remember I walked in the mountains where there is more debris on the road than a normal city walk. I also want to mention if you plan to run in mud or sand. The shoes are made of a mesh material that allows small grains of sand to penetrate inside. You will feel it just like me. I still give this shoe 5 stars because for $20 you can still get a good shoe and I see most people use it on the city sidewalk and it works great there. Also as a casual hiking or work shoe.
