Has made 2 hats and was working on the 3rd when the screws on the cable slipped out of the needle. At first I thought maybe I hadn't tightened it, but when I tried to put it back in the needle it spun like a loose car tire. That's when I noticed the metal filings around the turns of the cable and realized that those needles would never bind again. Yes, I can always use different size needles, but how long does it take for them to come loose? I want to save your money and buy something better quality that will last longer than two knitted hats. It can be good if you only have plans for 1 or 2 projects and don't use them again. Perhaps it could become a family heirloom, passed down from generation to generation, looked at but never used, with fond memories of the 1-2 knits Grandma So-and-so once knitted. Of course I am looking for new replacement cartridges. For your health!
