Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Enhance Your Gaming Experience with the Mayflash Nintendo GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii/Wii U by Will Rahman

Perfect for Brawl in Wii

I switched all my games from Wii to Wii U because WiiMode upscales to 1080p and you have the added benefit of a digital signal over HDMI over the not so clear component image of the original Wii . One of the downsides was the inability to brawl Super Smash Bros. with GameCube controllers; I've always felt uncomfortable using a classic controller for this game since I've been playing melee for so many years. This adapter solves that problem and as far as I can tell is very responsive with no lag or disconnects even with my Japanese imported white GameCube. Controller with six foot cable. WaveBirds also work great as long as nothing is blocking the path from the controller to the receiver. (WaveBirds even had this problem on the GameCube itself.) The only minor annoyance is the function of the start button: a single press acts like the select (-) button on a classic controller, so you have to press it twice quickly to get in. In fact, it works like one Start button (+). It's not a big deal, and it makes sense to do it this way if you plan to use it for all Virtual Console games that have a major in-game use to choose from - such as: B. Super Metroid (select to switch weapons). -- but it can get a little tedious when you just need to select a game mode or pause the game and double tap. Apparently this adapter has problems with Wii MotionPlus remotes. I haven't tested it with one, just passed it on. I ordered two of these six months apart and both were sold by TOTALCONSOLE (made by Revain) as they are usually the lowest priced. Where it matters, no problem. Now I can compete with a friend. Save the cardboard back of the package so you have instructions on how the start button and turbo function work.

Pros
  • Turbo built in
Cons
  • Boring packaging
