.one of the mounting screws looked like someone had tightened and damaged it with channel locks.
I didn't realize until I disassembled the door and pulled out the old one that one of the mounting screws looked like someone had tightened it with welt rails and damaged the threads so badly you couldn't put a nut on it. Luckily I was able to use one of the old screws. Then when I installed it it sounded like someone was crushing rocks as it went up and down. Hopefully the sound will get better over time.
