I was having a hard time dealing with my Golden Retriever's first ear fungal infection and after it was eradicated my vet recommended this product. I use it when there is an unusual smell or I see wax buildup that I can't easily superficially remove - this ranges from every 2 weeks to 5 weeks between uses. It's easy to use - just unscrew the nozzle and squirt into the ear canal while holding the pinna up, then massage the base of the ear to remove anything and repeat on the other side. Tent over your pup's head while he's shaking like crazy! This part is actually the key to removing deposits. The disadvantage of the bottle design is that once the spout is opened, the liquid will flow out by gravity. So unless you have a sedentary dog that loves to clean his ears, there is always unnecessary waste when you invert the bottle to get to the ear canal.
