These were some of the lowest prices (per light) I've found at Revain. I haven't tried other brands. Each lamp requires 4 AA batteries. I use Duracell batteries. I left them on about 8-10 hours a day for about 3 weeks. That was the limit of life I was getting from the batteries. The colors were light, but more pastel. I bought them for Christmas decorations and found the color to be more suited to Easter flowers. But they were still festive. It took some time and patience to align and direct each wire in one direction to form a round ball. I used the command strip to hold each orb/energy source, they worked fine. I only used them internally. The idea is really cool and I will probably buy more (I started with two orders, 8 in total). The next time Costco sells AA batteries I will buy them because there are so many of them.
