I used to have an expensive Seelye plastic welder. I paid 1200€ for it. This one does the same job. Sometimes these cheaper welders get bad reviews. There are a few things I've learned about plastic welding machines. Never drop the welder, even at close range (especially when it's hot). I was told that the heating elements break easily. The same applies to expensive models. Second, follow the cooldown instructions. Comes with an extra heating element.
