I switched to wet shaving about 9 months ago. I got King C. Gillette for Christmas. If it weren't for the very cheap blade prices, I would go back to cartridge razors. I started with a 3 day climb with a relatively soft razor (Shark). I started with 5 and increased to 7 after the first hit. It shaves amazingly. At King C. Gillette, no matter how loosely I screwed the head or how aggressively the blade, I couldn't get a close shave, even if I got nasty cuts. Thanks to the grain passage, I have the same close shave as when I shave with a 5-blade cartridge. The two-piece design is great for cleaning the blade after use. It opens with a flick of the thumb on either side of the head, eliminating the need to disassemble and then reassemble the head. with a King C Gillette razor. And there was no burning sensation after shaving, more of a pleasant tingling sensation than a real burning sensation. This is a great shaver at an exceptional price. I definitely recommend them.
