My daughter wanted her own mermaid doll for her birthday, so I figured this would be a nice one with all its extras. My 2 daughters love taking the older one's mermaid dolls to the bathroom and filling up the sink with water to play with them. My wife and I thought this would be better so it's not as wet and messy as it inevitably gets when they play in the sink. I know the water balls can get all over, but they do dry up and are easier to clean in ball form than water, which can ruin our floors. And this way, the parents can dictate the amount of "water" they get to use and the kids are happy with the outcome. My daughter loved all the accessories that this came with, including the oddly shaped gigantic butterfly lipstick, comb, and mirror. I like that this came with a storage bin and 70000 beads, but unfortunately it's not a self-contained playset as there isn't enough room for the doll to swim in the container.
