This fondue pot is very easy to use and goes well with the cheese fondue I made. At first I was worried if it would heat the fondue enough to melt the cheese properly, but it worked really well in combination with the Sterno. The cheese does not need to be pre-melted on the stove. in terms of temperature control. given the type of pot. it's a little harder to do. I have burnt cheese on the bottom of the pan. I don't really care because I like these beats. but if that's important to you, you might want to look into a more temperature-controlled unit.
