Great buy. Fast delivery time. Works great on standard stereo fuel. There was excellent cheese with rotel tomatoes and jalapenos.

This is a lovely fondue set but a lot less practical than others we've had. The cast iron bowl is perfect for preparing fondue on the stovetop, but simply balances on a wire stand, resulting in an unstable and heavy contraption. Any attempt to scrape the crispy bits off the bottom of the pan flips the apple cart, so to speak. Main reason: the wire stand is too narrow; If it were wider the bowl would sit in the frame and be a lot sturdier.

This fondue pot is very easy to use and goes well with the cheese fondue I made. At first I was worried if it would heat the fondue enough to melt the cheese properly, but it worked really well in combination with the Sterno. The cheese does not need to be pre-melted on the stove. in terms of temperature control. given the type of pot. it's a little harder to do. I have burnt cheese on the bottom of the pan. This is probably the fondue pot for you if you want the European feel of an artisanal, traditional fondue. It cannot be seen in the photo, but the red enamel pot is strong and shiny.
