Review on Leather Medium Weight Inches Square by Lori Aguirre

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Buyer Warning!

This is NOT as described. There's no excuse for calling this leather "medium". Bought to make scabbards. I haven't measured the thickness but it's probably 1mm. It wouldn't be safe to carry a fixed knife made of leather that thin. There were also marks on the leather that showed up when trying to work and then dye it. In addition, it will be tightly wrapped in paper with a label and sealed with tape. Therefore, it is impossible to get inside without tearing the packaging and thus making a return impossible. I am very unhappy with it and feel that it has obviously been misrepresented. It is NOT suitable for cases, keychains, coasters or any other application that requires "medium weight" genuine leather. I think I can use it for dressing or sharpening, but other than that it's useless to me. Edit: To be honest I came back to check and it clearly says the thickness is 1/32 - 1/6 inch. I missed this and relied on the term "middleweight" so I'm giving up to 2 stars. However, it is by no means "medium" and does not lend itself to most items listed as useful, such as: B. Sheaths and ax sheaths. Please.
