I'm not sure how the clip is supposed to hold the phone securely. When you turn the screw to the "closed" position, it opens fully to its maximum position. When I turn the screw to the "unlocked" position, it moves the pad about 1/8 inch toward the phone before the knob you use to turn it falls off. Under no circumstances does he hold the phone in such a way that it can be used as a selfie stick. I suppose if you're just using it as a tripod you can put your phone in the slot and hope it doesn't fall out in a light wind or bump. But it is sold as a selfie stick and a tripod. Am I missing something here or am I doing something wrong? It's a shame, because otherwise I really like the size and height adjustment. I hate sending it back and leaving negative feedback.
