Not working and not updating readings

On the left side of the dashboard (when the air conditioner is on) this unit turns black. If it works, only a random number of tires will be tracked, if at all. This makes reading the device incorrect and potentially dangerous if you think you're reading the right numbers or additional data and the device doesn't update.
