I'm giving it five stars not because it's the best pick but because it's the best pick in this style I've found for the price can. it works damn well. My ratings are based on VALUE. This head meets my needs and works quite well. I'm sure if you're a professional photographer who uses your gear every day and downplays this thing, you won't appreciate it as much as I do. It moves very smoothly. Not sure how they do it at this price but it works. It holds securely and is easy to use. And it comes with a standard Arca Swiss style mounting plate and works with your other Arca compatible hardware. The wafers alone cost about $8, bringing the price down on an already low-priced device, making it even cheaper. So it holds my camera well. It's slim and durable, and uses the standard-sized Arca plate for excellent interchangeability with other compatible devices.
