PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE PURCHASING OR USING THIS TYPE OF PRODUCT. I bought these for my nephew last Christmas, he was so excited and wanted to use them right away. I put two of them in front of him, 6 is too many for a fresh water tank, that's not Nemo's quest. Anyway, after a few days I went to visit, looked at them from a distance and noticed that they were swimming side by side, very strange looking. So I get closer and the line holding them together twists. Annoyed but not angry yet. I told him to just leave one there while they both keep fighting, he believed me and I did. Last night I came to dinner and something was wrong. Murky water, obedient fish, black loaches glide across the glass, even a lonely jellyfish leans to one side. I went to the tank and the water is still, when I look into the filter I see a spot where the water is draining dry, pulled out the filter and a jellyfish came out with it. These tentacles are so thin that they can get sucked into the small intake ports of HOB filters, tangling in the propellers and killing the filter. He saw me throw away this pink one and the bag with the other 5. He asked "Why Uncle?" and I said it stung too many fish and they were sad and he said "How is Dory?" But he believed me and wasn't upset anymore. Sorry for the long review. The lesson behind this story is, have spare filters on hand in case those jellyfish tentacles mess up your filter, or don't buy those jellyfish at all. But just in case you should always have a spare filter with you. And if you need to apologize for throwing them away, please.
