I like the slightly longer inseam - it seems that most women's athletic shorts these days are so short that you can't bend over and keep up appearances, and another alternative is basketball shorts that hit the knees. The mid thigh length is perfect for her. I wear plus sizes in most pants and trousers and these plus sizes were just right. If they had pockets they would be five stars!
