For a while this fence tester worked very well. I like the digital display as it was visible even in bright sunlight. However, it required frequent battery changes, which was annoying and odd considering it sits in a closet and isn't used most of the time. Just last week I was using it as usual and the pin broke off the ground wire. I have a choice: go to the local pet food store and buy whatever they have at discounted prices, or forego a tester while I look for a replacement. be more durable. Not so. I will read many reviews before buying another one and hope to find one that describes the durability of the wire to pin connection.
