Works as advertised. What else would you like? Connect it as described. Set the fan to maximum speed (and then remove the chains if you want!). I see no difference between this switch and the circuit on the fan. There was no vibration or hum. If there was any complication at all, it's that the portion of the switch behind the wall panel is large. It took some effort to get all the wiring in my 3rd fuse box to be able to install this correctly. But you only do that once, right? So that's a small problem. After installation everything works very well.
