never thought it would be so effective. I have three Maltese that bark a lot. If they can't find anything to bark outside, they bark in each other's faces. When I first used Bark-off they stopped to listen. They didn't seem to be suffering or uncomfortable in any way. It keeps working, and when you hear the signal, you stop immediately. I connected the signal to the word "stop" and now only the word "stop" works normally. I tried one that I recently bought at Walmart for about $10 and it didn't do anything. This product works great and I have been using it for several months now.
