They're not the same as they used to be! It's one more bowl. empty? It doesn't feel that heavy which I think is normal but I think it has helped my old one last 6 years. I bought it directly from the seller in the mall. He was well protected. New plastic, old like metal. The cable isn't the same either, but it heats up just the same! It's gotten more popular over time so the materials are now cheaper than what they use I think. I hope I don't drop this. I didn't throw away the old one, it's just old. Old but stops me from time to time. But looking at the previous reviews I'm scared of the ceramic plates haha! I changed it from 4 to 3 stars. IT WAS NOT AS HOT AS YOU FEEL!. big disappointment for me. My hair is thick and dark, I need warmth.
