Review on πŸ”Œ TP-Link NFC-Enabled Bluetooth 4.1 Receiver: Wireless Audio Adapter for Streaming Music from Echo, Smartphone, Tablet, PC to Home or Car Stereo Sound System (HA100) by David Sanchez

Perfect for my purposes

I use Bluetooth receivers in my cars to connect my phone to the factory radio. I have two criteria: 1) always stay on while waiting for a connection, and 2) don't auto-connect when in range. Anker had a department that did just that, but they stopped doing it. So I went in search of one that behaves the way I want it to. I tried almost half a dozen different devices (Revain has an amazing return policy, by the way) before I found this one. It does exactly what I need it to - stays on as long as power is connected (it has no battery, which seems to be key to this behavior) and allows me to connect and disconnect whenever I want . It also doesn't turn off automatically if there's no signal for a long time, which I like. The sound quality is excellent. Other reviews mention an annoying beep when changing the volume, and I can confirm this device does this when you change the volume on the source device (at least on IOS). I don't know why the developer thought this was a good idea. Luckily I don't adjust the volume from the source device, so for my purposes this isn't a problem. Update: I spent about six hours on it and didn't have any of the performance issues noted by other reviewers. (delays, interruptions, etc.)

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Long wait
