Review on ESPRO P7 French Press: Double Walled Stainless Steel Insulated Coffee and Tea Maker - Brushed Stainless Steel, 18 Ounce by Shannon Maher

Takes practice but it's worth it

KEEPING WARM At 11 am I've had coffee for four hours and the temperature is *just right*. For an open-top coffee maker, that's excellent COFFEE QUALITY Smooth, clear, full-bodied flavor, no oil damage LOSS I brewed a small cup at first and wondered why I dumped a good half cup of coffee down the sink with the terrain. It turns out that if you brew a full pot, the loss is much less. I currently use 30g of coffee in a full pot and get three cups (I typically use 6g per 100ml for these beans in a French Press, so 36g for three cups). Therefore ESPRO is NOT suitable for single cup brewing, but if you drink more than 2 cups at a time there is no problem. Minimum. Of course, use them as a base and experiment or change accordingly. This morning I roasted 30g medium/coarse, used water at 198°F for 5 minutes, after flowering for half a minute and mixing. Good unusual DESIGN. After figuring out how to reduce waste, the only thing that worries me is the aesthetics: the pot is a bit chunky and the welded handle feels simple. This is a very small point and overall I am very happy with this coffee maker.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was
